Canadian radio amateurs are permitted to replace their normal prefix from 5 May to 2 July 2023: VA stations can use CJ, VE stations can use CK, VO stations can use CY, and VY stations can use CZ.

Radio Amateurs members of the New Zealand Association of Radio Transmitters will be active with special call ZL100 from New Zealand from 26 April to 25 July 2023 , commemorating first Radio contact between New Zealand and Australia . Also in Australia will be active special callsign VK100ZL during the event.

IMD is a 24 hour amateur radio event that is held annually to celebrate the birth of Marconi on 25 April 1874. The event is usually held on the Saturday closest to Marconi’s birthday and in 2023 it will be held on 22nd April.
